KMS Energy Group is a member of the Dutch NEN SIL-Platform, Mr D. van Suijlekom represents KMS Energy Group within this group.
The SIL Platform is an independent group of experienced users of the SIL philosophy, according to the IEC standards 61508 and 61511 in the Dutch process industry. The SIL Platform is linked to the Royal Dutch national standardization committee NEC 65 following the international work of IEC/TC 65 industrial measurement, control and automation.
The group has released a first paper called “A Practical Approach to a Safety Requirement Specification (SRS)” based on questions on how to deal with different safety issues, especially how to handle the 29 positions requirements of the Safety Requirement Specification as defined in NEN-EN-IEC 61511-1 : 2017.
